Bird Key

Bird Key is an island neighborhood in Sarasota Bay with deep water canals and its own private yacht club. Many of the spectacular bayfront homes have their own dockage and are a boater’s paradise. Location, location, location – central to all the attractions that make Sarasota so popular. Within minutes, you are in Downtown, St. Armands Circle, Lido Beach, or Longboat Key.

It is located south of the John Ringling Causeway, between mainland Sarasota and St. Armands Key. Originally a small island connected to the Ringling Causeway by a tree lined causeway of its own. The history of the key began in the late 1950’s when it was created by dredge and fill. It was also the home of John Ringling North, nephew of Circus Magnate, John Ringling.

Today’s Bird Key is a fashionable island neighborhood with sparkling vistas that begin at sunrise and end with blazing sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. At night, the expansive Sarasota skyline glistens to life across a shimmering expanse of Sarasota Bay. …
